We bid a fond farewell to the modern motorcar as GM(America) unfolds its evil EV-1 plot to the bitter end with the "Volt" about to replace the gas guzzlers we have loved this long time! The BYD in Shanghai, now proven in over two years taxi service there, will provide database for the Plastic Bodied Plug-ins inevitable in humanities race for cheaper more reliable transportation in a world already short on oil. America will go to Electric Bullet Trains, intercity, replacing air travel there completely and at a 400% higher efficiency, too. Transcontinental flights almost unnecessary for business due to improved telecommunications will cool down especially with the Asian penchant for practicalities and a different way of achieving "Ego Boost" and status. America in Obama-land will build super railways in place of highways, ignoring rubber wheeled ventures costing so much more in imported oil, which rises with Asian demand even faster now. In the next decades we will see the end of the personal motorcar for most Americans as their wages cannot keep up to Asian productivity, and will fall with the now dying dollar. Even the lowly bus will give way to Trams of modern design, Subway systems, local trains, and for freight too, not just passengers. The inefficient rubber wheeled rave is coming to and abrupt end as oil supplies peter out and prices rise. Please, make these last few models spectacular museum pieces to place along side the great radial aircraft engines, and the rotary engines of the recent past! My children should know their once magnificent stature in our lives.
